Finished another one this week. I'm calling this one Pink Diamonds but the pattern name is really "Hugs and Kisses" by Jaybird Quilts. Here's a link to the pattern: http://www.creativegrids.com/acatalog/info_P0587.html
It requires the Lazy Angle Ruler by Creative Grids. I made this one twin size quilt. I cut out tons of strips one day using the June Taylor Shape Cut Pro. Oh my stars I was cutting up scraps unbelieveably fast using that. I actually got a little carried away ironing the scraps and cutting them and needed to take an Alleve because after two days of cutting, I strained my shoulder on my cutting arm. But quilting injuries are always worth it :) Longarmed it yesterday in the morning and got the binding on it yesterday afternoon. It goes to the new owner today.
Made this using the Lil' Twister ruler/template. The pattern is in one of the Lil Twister books. Not sure I'd use the "Lil'" one again but I do plan on using the bigger one to plow through some scrap fabrics. Used a goofy St. Paddy's Day themed fabric for the backing.
This is the ruler I used. It's available at quilt shops and on line in many places.
A friend gave me this green house she no longer wanted :) Way cool. Slowly moving the geraniums that survived winter in the house outside and then I'm going to put some starters or seeds out there. Thank you so much JM :) I need to re-do that "foundation" but for now it's okay :)
Finally found a dog toy small enough for Zoey to make squeak. Some of the toys in the pet store are bigger than she is :) My friend Beth thinks Zoey's bark sounds more like a squeak toy :) But she's a smart little girl and let us know in the middle of the night that a fox was circleing the chicken coop.
