Second pair. Pattern is from the Highland Knits book. I use "magic loop" method when working in the round and I knit continental which speeds up these projects. This pattern is really fun and very little thinking involved. Cable pattern is easy to remember so great TV watching knitting :)

Finished another Miss Winkle. I started this one in Nov. 2013 so I must have been trying to make it for someone for Christmas.....that didn't happen. The yarn is Knit One Crochet Too kettle tweed. Pattern is Miss Winkle by Martina Behm. Dug it up last week and it just needed about 3 hours more work on it to be done to be finished. Blocked it today with a dowel in the loops and with the nice weather it was dried and blocked really quick. I know I have one more of these Miss Winkles in the works but then after that I'm done......I'm sort of burned out on this pattern. This is the 5th of 6.
It's too hot to longarm but I'm cranking out some UFO tops. The top one is just a tumbler quilt made out of my left over Downton Abbey fabs (twin size). Below is a pattern from the August/September 2013 issue of Quilt Magazine. The pattern is called Dresden Stars (full size). It's an easy paper pieced quilt. I stash busted and used brights and neons and an assortment of whites and tone on tone whites from my stash. Still on a mission to avoid buying fabric to finish a project when ever possible. I'm even piecing backs again. This one is going to the grandkids. The Downton Abbey one I'll probably keep. My motto now is if it doesn't work in our house, it's given away.
